Ranking Introduction

Platform Scale, Mobile Adoption and Applied Technology

InfluenceAsia 50: Asia's Fastest-Growing Companies 2017 identifies companies whose acceleration during the 2017 editorial window was both commercially visible and structurally consequential. The list evaluates growth as more than speed alone: it recognizes scale creation, market formation, technology leverage, operating execution and the company's contribution to Asia's business modernization.

The 2017 growth cycle is defined by mass mobile adoption, cashless finance, local-services platforms, e-commerce logistics, short-form media, online education, smart hardware, electric mobility, battery supply chains, biosimilars and digital infrastructure. The most important growth companies are not merely expanding revenues or users; they are altering how consumers, merchants, drivers, students, manufacturers and financial institutions operate.

This is not a mechanical revenue-growth table, not a funding table, not a market-cap list and not a paid award. It is an independent InfluenceAsia research and editorial ranking.

InfluenceAsia prepares this ranking as an original editorial synthesis. The final order is not a mechanical revenue-growth table, funding table or market-cap table. InfluenceAsia applies a weighted research framework to compare companies at different stages and in different sectors, balancing velocity with scale, contribution, credibility and 2017 relevance.

Eligibility

The edition considers companies headquartered in Asia or materially Asia-centered in operating identity during the 2017 editorial window. Eligible companies may be listed or privately held, provided they demonstrate meaningful operating substance, visible growth momentum and relevance to an identifiable market. Public agencies, pure investment vehicles, inactive entities and companies without clear operating identity are excluded.

Growth lens

InfluenceAsia weighs visible 2017 acceleration alongside scale quality, market formation, technology leverage and operating execution.
